They are artists and if its what they want to do then its their life but somebody needs to let their opinions be heard. It certainly is not on the youtube or your site Kristin. Love their voices just not their song choice at all. A lot of other people feel the same way. Thank you Kristin for letting my opinion be heard. Great new layout.

Anonymous said...: i love their voices, they've matured sooo much! and i like this cover alot. however, i know their growing up a bit faster in hollywood as artists rather than how they would have been in new jersey, not being artists. but they need to realize what their ages are. i personally think they could pick "mature" songs that are still more appropriate than some of them they've been singing lately. which they do most of the time!
that's just my opinion though.

btw, every single song they've done so far i like just as much or better than the original. so i still like them. just think they could make a bit better choices. :)

Anonymous said...: I pesonally don't like the song either. But after I listened to it a couple times, it is catchy so I kind of understand why they picked it. I found myself singing this after. And because its Gaga and she's one of their favorites so thats understandable too. :P

I love their voices in this, especially Destinee's! She sounds fierce! But not so much loving the song and I'm annoying myself cuz I keep singing it -.-

If you read the lyrics while you listen to the song, she is talking about how she is a "holy fool" because she is in love with Judas, who represents temptation and betrayal. I think she is making a statement about human nature, not bashing religion, but I would love to hear your opinions too. And if you read the rest of the lyrics- 'In the most Biblical sense, I am beyond repentance, Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind. But in the cultural sense, I just speak in future tense, Judas kiss me if offensed, Or wear ear condom next time.' Basically it's saying that in the ways of the bible she's frowned upon due to her cultural views being 'futuristic'. I.e equality, no hate, no prejudice, and no homophobia.

I like the melody the lyrics are definitely "Gaga" but that's what we have to remember is this is Lady Gaga's song not their's I'm sure they just did this song for notoriety. I'm pretty sure this isn't their message it's not like they came up with it, I don't think it's innapropriate at all, they sound really good! Destinee's piano skills are getting gooood!

Thank you! I had a feeling there was a deeper message people were overlooking because they just hear, like you said, the initial message. I personally, have yet to listen to the song or read the lyrics, and choose not to at the moment ( not because of the religious nature, just because I don't care for her music ), so I honestly don't know what the song is about. But it did seem like there was definitely something deeper to it. So thank you!
Anonymous said...: I think its more the fact that they are showing the level of real talent that they have that they can master a song and learn it that quick when it just came out a couple of hours ago. come on who can do that? they are incredible artist and it is obvious to the public who are making the comments and want to see their talent with all the views they are getting. I don't blame them for not allowing hater comments. its their channel just like this is Kristen's blog they have that right. who wants to see hate anyway? only haters...

No one's saying you can't think it's sacreligious, but you shouldn't stop liking Destinee and Paris just because they sang a song you don't agree with. But you're welcome. As I said before, if it's done in a respectful way, I will post it.
