parisqmonroe: Let’s get to know each other a little bit better. Selfies aside. I get asked a lot, when am I going to release music? Or what’s taking so long? I just wanted to take the time to show a little transparency, as it is something I’ve come to crave more and more in my life. In a world where fiction and reality seem to have a blurred line, I want to live and express myself more honestly. Many of you don’t know about my musical journey. I’ve been in love with music since I was born basically, no exaggeration. My parents grew up in the most musical eras... my dad is an incredible guitarist. I’ve been engulfed in it my whole life. I’ve been in two girl groups with my sister, got signed to Interscope Records when I was 11 years old, touring the world instead of being in school. I’ve been through trials & tribulations, more than anyone aside from my immediate family know about. Now I don’t want to focus too much on the past. I embrace it, it’s shaped me, I wouldn’t be where I am right now without it... but let’s talk about NOW. I AM working on a record, HAVE been for a long time. Been involved with lots of people! Some who were blessings, some who were lessons! Some who wanted to take advantage of me. I’ve turned down multiple opportunities that some would consider me CRAZY for saying no to, but I’ve waited so long to fulfill this LIFELONG dream that I didn’t get to do my way for the first half of it. And now I’m in this position where every move is thoughtful. I care so deeply about it and I just wanna do it RIGHT. I believe with God on my side, the right doors will open that will be lasting, and be aligned with who I truly am. Not a fake version, I think people are sick of fake. I write my own music, some people don’t like that. That’s ok I don’t like that they don’t like that. This business is filled with ego, politics, and darkness but I choose to be a light wherever I can. When MY art is ready to surface, it WILL emerge. Even if I have to put it out myself, I will. I have been so blessed with incredible supporters who believe in me. That, I am so grateful for. IT IS COMING. You WILL hear it, no matter what! 🎶✨❤️🕊 #SoulNotForSale
