You are the sisters and work together, but what are your differences?
Destinee: We definitely have different personalities. I play tough, but just the sensitive of us. Paris pretend to be nice, but ...
Paris: I do not pretend! I am nice to everyone, but when it comes to business, I am certain.
Destinee: That's right, she is Miss a businesswoman. Naturally I listen to most, but I can say no if it is something that is important to me.
I read on your Twitter that you were a part of Stockholm before.
Destinee: Yes, we recorded our debut album here two years ago along with Swedish producer RedOne. He is an amazing producer and has really an ear for music. He is the best!
Paris: He has become as our brother and mentor, so it's great to be here again.
But you have also worked with other Swedish producers, right?
Destinee: Yes, our first single, "True Love", was produced by Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia. Then we have also worked with Carl Falk and Rami (Yacoub), who is also Swedish. You Swedes can really pop!
Do you have any favorite places in Stockholm, perhaps a restaurant or store you like?
Destinee: Stockholm is like our second home. Vapiano is great, they need to open a restaurant in Los Angeles.
Paris: And we love the mall, with Top Shop and H & M.
Have you had a chance to hang out with Britney Spears during the tour?
Destinee: We see her often in the corridors. She smiles always against us and how cute any time. The other day when we were in Helsinki in Finland, she stopped us and actually said, 'Oh my God, I love your outfit! " She is very down to earth.
How would you describe her?
Paris: I would say she is iconic. She is always at the forefront of that of the pop music and she has done for many years. The first concert we went to was Britney Spears, in 1998 or 1999. We were completely overwhelmed by the dance and the costumes and music production, that's when we decided to focus on music as a profession.
I saw your show in Paris in early October and noted that you are in really good shape, which I assume is a must when worn so tight costumes. How are you doing to stay fit?
Paris: Thank you! We try to eat very healthy and 'clean' food, and we train a lot. Dancing is also a good way to keep fit.
Destinee: Then we run very well. We do not want to be out of breath on stage.
Do you have any special beauty routine?
Paris: We have straight hair, so we can not go anywhere without our curling iron. Then we like make-up from Make Up Forever.
Destinee: We also have a really good skin care system that we run every night before going to bed. It takes a lot of part cleaning to remove all the stage makeup.
Make up your own selves?
Paris: Well, when we are touring we make up ourselves, but when we do shoots and music videos we use makeup artists.
How important is appearance as a performer?
Destinee: When people come to a show, they want to be entertained, so we have a little fun with your hair, makeup and clothes. We want them to reflect our music, which also is about having fun.
How would you describe your music?
Paris: It's fun and energetic pop with an edge. And very dance-friendly.
How long have you been doing now?
Paris: We were designed five years ago, but we have been doing music professionally since we were 7-8 years old.

In connection with Destineer and Paris Monroe visited Sweden as opening act for Britney Spears met with Culture Blog up siblings at Globe Quality Hotel. We talked about their relationship to the Swedish music and what it's like to tour with one of his idols. Just before the interview, we caught glimpses of even Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers, so it was clearly a very star-studded group of musicians who had gathered in one building.
How long have you been doing music?
We've been doing music all our lives. It has been our passion ever since we were little and that is something we have always loved to do.
Who was it that attracted your interest in music?
Britney Spears was a great inspiration. The first concert we ever went to was a Britney Spears concert. We inmponerades second of the show, dancers and production, but above all by how theatrical it was.
Previously you played in a band, how was it?
Yes, three years ago we played in a band called the Clique Girls. It was a great trip but we have now moved on and is only Destineer & Paris.
Is Destineer & Paris your real name?
Yes it is. We are often asked about the artist name but Destineer and Paris Monroe is actually our birth names.
How does it feel to be the opening act for one of his sources of inspiration?
It's amazing, she's the queen of pop. We have seen up to her all our lives. If someone ten years ago had said that we would be opening for Britney Spears, we had thought he was crazy. To share a stage with enough iconic artist is wonderful.
Is it the first time you visit Sweden?
No, we were actually in Sweden two years ago and recorded by RedOne. The single Truelove we recorded with Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia.
Can you describe your relationship to the Swedish music?
Abba has had a profound effect on us. They are exemplary when it comes to writing good harmonies without exaggerating them.
What have those who will see you tonight to look forward to?
There will be some surprises, including a medley of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy and Adele's Rolling In The Deep. It will be fun.
How long are you working with Britney?
We are committed throughout her European tour. It's so funny that Joe Jonas is also with us. Sometimes we play a trick on him so he must be careful all the time.
Do you have a home when you're not on tour?
We have a house in Los Angeles where we live when we're not on tour but lately we have been touring so much that the tour bus has become our home.
Is it difficult to adapt to life on tour?
Nowadays it is not very difficult for us to adapt to life on tour. When we toured for three years ago it was much harder but now we have become accustomed. Going on tour is the best thing about being an artist.
Do you have time to see the city you come to?
Well, yesterday we were able, for example, go shopping and go sightseeing. Stockholm is so different from Los Angeles. We love the shops and architecture.
Are you going to school or while music is a full time job?
We graduated from High School earlier this year, so now the music is our full time job. Music is our life.
How it usually go to when you write songs?
Normally we listen through the tracks as different producers send to us then we try to find a concept or an emotion that we feel are appropriate. Only then can we start writing lyrics and harmonies. Usually we write about personal experiences, but sometimes it happens that we enter someone else's shoes.
Do you have a song that you are particularly proud of?
Boyfriend, really, it has no title yet but we call it so until further notice. It is fun to drive and the audience always seems like it.
What are your future ambitions?
Being able to continue doing what we do. Then we have two main goals: to win a Grammy and be able to go on their own headline tour.

Sisters Destinee and Paris Monroe aren’t typical teenagers preoccupied with homecoming, high school dances and weekly football games. The two siblings, former members of Clique Girlz, are living a real teenage dream: touring internationally as Destinee & Paris, readying their debut album — and warming up for Britney Spears.
Following a brief Stateside stint with Spears this past August, the sisters remained one of the pop diva’s opening acts for the European leg of the Femme Fatale Tour. That road trip wraps November 9 in Lisbon, Portugal, before traveling to the United Arab Emirates, South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
“I can’t even explain how amazing it is to be onstage every night and sharing it with a legend like Britney,” Destinee, 17, told MTV News on Tuesday via Skype from Zurich, Switzerland. “I mean, she’s been in this business forever and has really made a name for herself. To be performing before her is crazy. If somebody said to me 10 years ago that this is what we’d be doing — opening for Britney Spears — I’d be like, ‘OK, you’re crazy.’ ”
The Grand Rapids, Michigan-born Monroe sisters, who also appeared as backup singers on the 10th season of “American Idol,” released their debut single “True Love” via Streamline/ Interscope Records in August. They admit that the one thing they still need to do while touring with Spears is sit down for a genuine conversation with the nearly 30-year-old singer.
“Everything’s been so busy for us, so we haven’t gotten to really talk [to Britney],” said Paris, 15. “But we have said hi [to her] a few times and she’s just a sweetheart.”
So if they do get a chance for some one-on-one time with Spears, what would they ask their idol?
“I think that our number-one question would probably be how to deal with growing up in this industry,” Paris said. “If there’s anyone who knows the most about that, it’s obviously Britney. She’s had an amazing, long, successful career, so I think that would be the first thing we would talk to her about.”
The blond sisters, who toured with the Jonas Brothers and the Backstreet Boys while still with the Clique Girlz, are planning to focus on their still-untitled debut album once the tour ends.
“The album is still in the final stages of being worked out,” Paris said. “We released the single and we’re performing most of the songs on tour. I think once we’re off tour, we’re probably going to record some more songs, tweak the album a little more, make the final touches and release it. We want it to be really special.”

Sisters and singers, Destinee and Paris are rising to fame, especially with their most recent gig-opening for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour. The girls released a song for the Despicable Me soundtrack: “I'm On A Roll”
And yep, they sure are on a roll. Hollyscoop caught up with the girls to get to know them a little better.
Hollyscoop: What's been the most exciting thing about being on tour?
Destinee & Paris: I really think that just playing in general is the funnest thing for an artist. We love being on a tour bus and going on radio stations in the morning and doing sound check, and all that fun stuff.
HS: That's amazing, so cool. What's one piece of information you can share about Britney that her fans might not know?
D&P: We've actually never met Britney before!
HS: Well, you guys are getting huge lately, who's the person you'd want to collaborate with most?
D&P: I would really love to collaborate with David Bowie. He's amazing. We've always been inspired by him. He's such an incredible artist and he has inspired so many people in this business, just like us.
HS: What is it about him you love?
D&P: He's really just made a name for himself in the music industry and just, like, how creative he is and the different alter egos he's come up with. He's just an amazing brain, you know? And he's really original in the fact that he was able to put together art, music and fashion all in one. It was really something that shocked the population.
HS: Do you guys watch 'Glee'?
D&P: We barely have time to watch Tv. We don't really watch too much TV. When we're on the road, that's when we have time to catch up on shows...But I have seen a couple episodes of Glee, and it's awesome.
HS: How would you feel if they asked to appear on the show?
D&P: We'd love to perform on Glee. It's so amazing what they've been doing lately, because not a lot of TV shows put together singing, acting and dancers in one.
HS: And what's it like working together as sisters?
D&P: Oh my gosh, performing as sisters is really, really fun. We don't really take things so seriously. It's great to have each other because we're always having a blast.
HS: And you can support each other.
D&P: Yes. We grew up performing together and singing together, and I mean, it's basically what we know.
HS: So what are you working on next?
D&P: Right now we're working on the finishing touches on our album. We have to do some stuff with our packaging, pick a name, and do all that fun stuff. Then we'll release a release date.
Destinee and Paris Monroe take a break during rehearsals to pose for a few pics for JJJ earlier this week in Los Angeles.
We caught up with the sister music-makers to chat about touring with Britney Spears and their upcoming single — which will debut NEXT WEEK right here on JustJaredJr.com.
Destinee told us about touring with the Princess of Pop, “We are so excited to be sharing the stage with the legendary Britney Spears, we’ve looked up to her pretty much our whole lives.”

Tommy2: And you’re signed with Interscope Records and I could help but mention that you’ve crossed paths with some other familiar artists we’ve featured including the Clique Girlz. So what’s with you’re connection with the Clique Girlz?
Tamar Kaprelian: They’re so sweet. I was doing Cherry Tree Chat a couple days ago and both Destinee and Paris were online and we just started chatting with each other and they’re so sweet and their music is great and they have great voices.
Popstar! Magazine & PopstarOnline.com interviewed Destinee & Paris of CLIQUE GIRZ at a fabulous party...sadly, it was mostly in the dark, hehe. But fans will love this because they do talk a lot about upcoming events and projects! Enjoy!
Each of you has a special symbol and color that represents your style. What is the story behind that?
Destinee: My symbol is stars. When I was younger I had this thing in my eye and my mom got all worried. She took me to the eye doctor and the doctor was like, “oh, it’s just called a star.” So that just stuck with me ever since. I was like “I love stars.”
Paris: My symbol is a princess crown because ever since I was a little girl I always thought that when I grew up I was going to be a princess. I always loved them and I always thought that were a great fashion statement, and I always loved wearing them and I thought they were really cute.
Sara: My symbol is a red heart. First of all, I love to draw hearts. I’m very sensitive, and I am very trustworthy, and I love being around people, and I love friendship and stuff so that heart symbolizes this.

J-14: Sara, how did you find out you made it into the Clique Girlz?
Sara: After the audition we had callbacks and from there they narrowed it down to the top three and then I found out! I started crying!
J-14: There was some controversy when you guys decided to replace the last member. How did you handle that?
Paris: We actually found out on YouTube. We were expecting it, but we weren't going to let it bring us down. We just wanted to move forward and keep this going. We found Sarah and everything is so positive and great.
J-14: Can you tell us about some of the new stuff you're recording?
Sara: We're recording a lot of new stuff. We're also going to be taking some of the old stuff and recreating it. I'm really excited about everything!
Club BSG: Aboslutely. What do you listen to when you're not working on your own music?
Paris: People always ask us what kind of music we listen to, and we finally figured it out…
Paris, Destinee, Ariel: GOOD MUSIC! [laugh]
Paris: We don’t focus on one thing. We listen to Paramore, but it’s not just that. We like Beyonce and Sarah Brightman and the Rolling Stones. There’s so much inspiration.
Club BSG: Do you write any of your songs?
Paris: Actually, it’s all of us. Sometimes, Destinee will start writing music, Ariel will come up with lyrics, and then I’ll come up with a good melody. Or, I’ll come up with cool music, Destinee will write the lyrics, and Ariel will join in—we all have a part that brings it together, and it’s pretty cool how that works.
