New Layout!

at 11:13 PM 18 comments
In case you haven't noticed, there's a new layout up! I worked really hard on this and I'm hoping everyone will like it. Now that summer is over, I decided the bright pink, summery layout needed to be retired and a new, more wintery layout was needed. This time I went with the more traditional banner with all three groups present instead of the rotating banner like last time. I hope we can all get along over this matter. Also, now not only are the drop-down menus visible, but along the top of the banner, the three biggest categories ( being the three groups ) are also clickable. So it's another quick way of getting you to where you might want to be. And for more unity among everyone, the twitter widgets have also been retired and replaced with a single twitter widget including all of the girls ( Alissa and Camille included ). Other than that, everything should be the same.

Please let me know if anything isn't working properly. And leave a comment telling me what you think. I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks!

Ariel Not Bothered By New Bio!

at 9:33 PM 10 comments
Ariel sent out a very well-written tweet commenting on the drama going on since the release of Destinee and Paris's new biography. Please read it if you get the chance.

10-22-2010

Hi friends!!

First of all I want thank everyone for all the love and support for the new No More Drama. We are so excited for you all to see what we have going on. We are so busy in the studio and in rehearsals. The way you have embraced the new No More Drama girls, Lorelei and Brianne is incredible. You really made them feel at home, which they are in No More Drama.

On a completely different note and the reason for my bulletin, I recently got an outpouring of direct messages, comments, emails and letters about the recent posted bio of Destinee and Paris. Everyone has been asking if it bothers me, hurts my feelings, or makes me mad. To answer all of your questions....NO!

Since my departure from the Clique Girlz, Destinee, Paris and I have been on separate paths in our careers. I want all of my fans to know that I support Destinee and Paris 100% and they support me as well. The girlz and I are old childhood friends from Egg Harbor Township, NJ and we will always remain friends. We keep in touch and even run into each other in rehearsals from time to time. We hug and catch up on what's going on with each other.

Many of you have reacted to their change in their bio, since many of you have been our fans since the Clique Girlz and upset at the deletion of my name. Most of you say..."It's like you all of a sudden never existed"! Please note that this has not affected me at all!! Since the formation of No More Drama, I do not mention Destinee and Paris in my current group. They too are part of my past and we all are working currently in our present and future! I pray for their success and they do mine and I will support them and love them as I always have since we were playmates in NJ! We have had amazing memories together singing, recording and traveling. They will never be erased. Mentioning each other in our bios would be pointless at this time in our career. My girls Kimi, Aliyah, Lorelei and Brianne are awesome girls and great friends. They are tremendously talented, beautiful and have great souls. I thank God everyday for bringing them to my lives. They make every day exciting and joyful for No More Drama!! They rock!!!

From opening for the Backstreet Boys, touring with the Cheetah Girls, and all of the national anthems and recordings, the Clique Girlz will always be a beautiful memory, and songs like "Incredible", "Then I Woke Up" "Difference In Me" will always be there as a reminder of a great group of 3 little girls with big voices and cool harmonies. It's time to move forward. Keep your eyes open for No More Drama as well as Destinee & Paris and what's coming up! You'll be as excited as we are!

I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving me and all the girls.

Ariel

New Destinee & Paris Bio!

at 5:16 PM 20 comments
The girls have a new updated bio section on their facebook page that has a lot of information you might want to know (:

Over the past few years, New Jersey-born, Los Angeles-based sisters Destinee and Paris Monroe have entertained millions of people all over the world by opening for diverse artists such as Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Stevie Nicks,The Backstreet Boys, Lionel Richie, and scoring a slot as the official opening act on the Cheetah Girls’ “One World” U.S. tour. They’ve also sung their soaring version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a variety of major sporting events. They’ve participated in such events as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Grammy Awards, the Kids’ Choice Awards, the Teen Choice Awards, the American Music Awards, and the MTV Movie Awards. They’ve also performed on NBC’s The Today Show, and have had their songs featured on So You Think You Can Dance, a song featured on the AT&T Team USA Olympic Soundtrack, The Bratz Movie Soundtrack, and most recently the Despicable Me Soundtrack with super producer /artist Pharrell Williams. Sounds like the career of a couple of seasoned performers, right?

Destinee and Paris are indeed seasoned performers, who just happen to be teenagers. They may be young, but the songs the two have delivered on their upcoming U.S. debut album, Heart of Mine, will appeal to anyone with an ear for irresistible, uplifting pop songs about life, love, and friendship. “We want to appeal to everyone.” Paris says. “We want to be defined by our music, not by our age.”

Displaying a maturity beyond the girls’ years, Heart of Mine is a showcase for their considerable songwriting and vocal talent. Aside from a sparkling dancefloor update of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way” and the album’s first single, “Pretend,” (written by Polow Da Don and Esther Dean), Destinee and Paris co-wrote every song on the album with noted hitmaker RedOne, and his songwriting team. “Red is amazing to work with,” Destinee says. “Some producers tell you how to sing, but he trusted our talent and let us sing the way we felt, which helped us make an album that truly represents who we are as artists.”

Heart of Mine is the realization of a dream the sisters have had since they were toddlers growing up in verdant Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The girls would travel to New York City everyday for years doing Theatre, TV Commercials, Voiceovers, Print Work, and Modeling “We’ve always loved entertaining people,” Paris says.

Inspired by Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé, the girls entered a singing competition at a local mall in 2001. The seed was planted and the girls begged their parents for vocal lessons. While training in voice and dance, the girls performed everywhere they could. In 2005 Destinee & Paris attended a Backstreet Boys concert and met the group at their sound-check. “Everyone got to ask the guys questions and our question was, ‘Can we sing for you?’ Paris says. “They handed us their mics and we sang ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and they were literally bowing down to us, it was hilarious.”

Meanwhile, Destinee learned to play the guitar while Paris continued studying the piano, the girls began writing and recording their own songs. The girls’ father- a guitarist, producer, and sound engineer- built a recording studio in the family’shome for his daughters to record a professional-sounding demo. That ten-song collection found its way into the hands of executives at Interscope Records. In January 2007, the family flew out to Los Angeles for a meeting with friend Vincent Herbert, (Executive producer for Lady Gaga, JoJo) Jolene Cherry, Doug Morris and Jimmy Iovine, “basically, we never left,” Paris says. Destinee and Paris, along with a childhood friend, signed to Interscope in 2007 as The Clique Girlz. They recorded an album, Incredible, which was released in Japan in 2008. Not long after, with creative differences the band dissolved. They decided to go back to their roots as a sister power pop duo.

In July 2009, the girls received word that “red”-hot producer RedOne was interested in working with them. They traveled to Amsterdam to record with him— a session that yielded the melody-minded album gems “Sweet Sarah,” “It’s Over,” and “Heart of Mine.” Next, it was off to Sweden to record the Lindsey Buckingham-penned classic “Go Your Own Way,” which the girls fell in love with for its warm acoustic guitars, shimmering harmonies, and intense lyrics. “We’ve always loved Fleetwood Mac, and when we heard the song, we felt instantly connected to its story,” Destinee says. The rest of the album was recorded in Los Angeles, including “Pretend,” which was produced by Polow Da Don (Fergie, Usher, and Christina Aguilera).

“’Pretend’ is about a girl who’s seeing this guy, and he doesn’t know that she’s seen him flirting with other girls,” Paris explains. “She doesn’t want to lose him, so she pretends she doesn’t know what’s going on.” Adds Destinee: “We wanted to record it because we thought the song was really relatable. Not only is a great song for girls our age, but it’s really heartfelt. We loved that about it.”

“Some of the songs on our album are about our own experiences, sometimes dramatized, we also like putting ourselves in other people’s shoes.” Paris says. The sum effect is an appealing portrait of these two talented sisters who have everything ahead of them, including the release of Heart of Mine and an upcoming tour. “We just want to make people happy with our music” Paris says. “This is what we love to do, and if we can make a career out our passion, that’s something really special.”

Thanks everyone who told me about this (:

"...some friendships never die" - Ariel

at 5:50 PM
Ariel posted a new bulletin on myspace:

Hi Friends,

A quote "Most people hew the battlements of life from compromise, erecting their impregnable keeps from judicious submissions, fabricating their philosophical drawbacks from emotional retractions and scalding marauders in the boiling oil of sour grapes.”

For some of you that dont get this quote, and trust me it took me a while LOL, its about feeling Jealous or Bitter when someone you are, or have been involved with is doing well and you feel like lashing out and making false accusations because you feel like you missed out on an opportunity. Like i have said and have always said, you have to wish everyone the best with their personal endeavors and give out positive energy towards everyone. Everything in this life does not just happen by coincidence. God has a way of working things out for ALL of us if we can stay in a positive place and not be in a place of Jealousy and or bitterness. We are all on a journey and how you choose to travel it is completely up to you. Do you want to get back what you give out today? Are you giving out negative feelings and emotions either with your feelings or words? Or are you giving out positive emotions and words that are for the betterment of everyone by wishing everyone well and lifting each other up? Lets be kind and love everyone and wish everyone the absolute best for their lives. I promise it will come back to you.

On a COMPLETELY different note. A little message for Destinee and Paris. I love you two with all my heart and wish you everything good in this life with all the blessings you can carry just like you do me. We grew up together and some friendships never die. They just get stronger.

Important Message From Destinee!

at 7:42 PM 6 comments

There's been a lot about this in the news lately about kids getting picked on and bullied for different reasons. And I'm so glad that celebrities are getting involved in this fight. There is no need to bully or pick on other people because they're different, or because you don't like something about them, or for any other reason. There's so much negativity in the world right now and we don't need to add to it. Be kind to everyone. Spread positivity. And if you're the person being picked on or bullied, stay strong because it does get better. I promise you.

Happy Birthday Kimi!

Message From Ariel!

at 7:19 PM 15 comments

Hi Friends,

I know a lot of you are wondering about the New Girls that are going to be in Our group No More Drama. I appreciate everyones patience while we are in Boot Camp teaching the New Girls and practicing with them with some pretty amazing Choreographers and Vocal Coaches. We have been working really hard, and making everything as polished as we can before we introduce you to these 2 amazing new additions to the No More Drama family. Because that is exactly what we are. A big happy family with all the same goals and dreams and it is an awesome experience to be able to share the dream with 4 amazing girls who really are working so hard and really want this. I would like to remind everyone that Yes, we are replacing our former band mates with no disrespect intended. This is a 5 girls group and would not be complete unless there were 5. It was their decision to leave and we respect their decision and wish them only the best with all their future goals and projects. Sometimes it is best for everyone when they can just move on and be happy with what ever their dreams or goals are in life. Which is one of the points i would like to make in this Bulletin. Everyone is responsible for their own happiness. Wether it is being a Doctor or Lawyer, a School teacher or Vet, or doing what i do which is being an Entertainer. We all must find our happiness in this world and do what we love. My dream is this group. And the girls in the group all share the same dream. Sometimes we realize after we have started something when you are young that maybe what you were doing is not what you wanted and yes, it can shake things up a bit. But if you dont stay true to yourself and your dream then you will not be living to your full potential and making the most of yourself. So please, what ever it is you want to do in your life, GO FOR IT!! And dont let anything stop you from having what you want. We get one life here on Earth and i have decided to live mine doing what i love with people i love. And when i get to share it with all of you, my friends, it makes my life complete and that is what makes me happy. I am Lucky to have girls like Kimi, Aliyah and the New NMD girls in my life as i was lucky to share a part of my life with Destinee and Paris and Alissa and Camille. They will always be in my heart and i will always be their friend even if it is from a distance. So remember to have peace, do what you love and spread and share some of that love with others. God Bless

Ariel<3
