EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Their early notice as part of the tween singing group the Clique Girlz did not, as it turned out, catapult the Monroe sisters of South Jersey to Miley Cyrus heights (though it did lead to a move to Los Angeles, where their home is a couple of miles from Miley's).
And so Destinee, 15, and Paris, 13, will not be Clique Girlz when they are riding the Ikea float in the 6ABC Thanksgiving Parade, accompanied by two school choirs, or singing the national anthem at the Eagles game this Sunday, but reinvented as themselves, Destinee & Paris, back home for the holidays.
The brief history of the Clique Girlz ended in a tween bubble burst: the departure of the third Clique Girl, Ariel Moore, played out on YouTube - an awkward split the girls' mother, Lenore, compared to a divorce. It was a development made all the stranger by the fact that their album, so long in the making, hadn't even been released in the United States yet - though it was kind of big in Japan, actually.
So young, and already so much drama. But to visit with them here in the home their parents never sold, at the end of a cul-de-sac not far from a Super Wawa, to see them with their long, blonde, highlighted tresses, stylish shiny leggings and fashionable anklet boots, still girlish and goofy in that sisterly way, is to learn that these girls still are in the hunt.

Ariel didnt burst anybodies bubble she got out becauz it wasnt right for her. It pissed me off that they put that in the interview its like shes blaming Ariel when she was involved w & the reason she left! honestly >:( thats just great

I read the rest of the article they threw Ariel under the bus made it seem like she was the one who was wrong...well...just I read the rest of it & it made me mad too..whatever I can have my say
I really don't think mentioning Ariel like that was necessary. It makes her sound bad, really. They could have worded it a lot less...harsh?
Either way, I'm glad they're doing great. Let's not blame the girls or their families for this, they didn't write it.
Though I think whoever wrote it exaggerated a bit on their popularity.

Honest if you read the whole thing I think it unfortunatly made destiny & Paris look not as good in the ending part but btw just sayin waaaaaay back when they split they knew about what was happening they didnt just WHAM pull up youtube and there it was like they said in that newspaper. She had a meeting with Jimmy Iovene from interscope @ his office and he let her leave because of the situation w Lenore. so they knew what the deal was

I won't believe anything anyone says on any of these blogs or youtube comments, I will believe what Ariel or Destinee & Paris have to say, and so far they havent said pretty much anything about the break up because of legal reasons. none of you know what your talking about, so just stop because you want to make poor innocent sweet girls look bad. I have eyes I can see excuse you!but they said they didnt know until the youtube thing.They knew before Ariel said it on youtube..and they are right.They said somethin that wasnt true in that article. They said this because since their name is "Destinee & Paris" Destinee should be photographed first then Paris next to her. If Destinee was on Paris's left then their names would be mixed up. That's what managers are suppose to do.
So happy for them. I hope everybody gets their chance to make it big. Can't wait for NMD!
I don't want to argue or anything I'm just wondering. The person says that Paris is more vocal. Is she saying Paris has a better voice than Destinee? Cuz they BOTH have gorgeous voices. They're just different. Destinee's is deeper and she sings the low harmony and Paris' is lighter and she usually sings the melody. I think they're both amazing but Paris isn't necessarily better.
When she says vocal she means Paris talks more, she's a little more hyper and I heard very intelligent so she's always talking haha :) plus she has always talked more in the CG interviews I've seen. So I guess she's just a good talker?
i read the whole article in the news paper, and i think that it was embarassing for desitnee and paris. tHE WRITER SEEMED to be making fun of them and their mother.
i wish the girls luck because they DO have talent, but i think that lenore is a real stage mom, and should not be there during interviews to put her two cents in. the girls are old enough to talk for themselves!!
I think the article didn't put destinee and paris in a good light at all. I think the writer didn't like them. And i think lenore should not be there during interviews. the girls are old enough to speak on their own ! sheesh! did she have to correct them at the end of the story? I wouldn't be proud of this article at all!
I think the writer seemed a bit jealous. i know her and her daughters go to school with me and want to be singers but they are not singer material. they wish they could sing like Destinee and Paris and are not as pretty as them either so the writer is just making herself look bad putting them down and being that way. she should congratulate anyone from this area that makes it that far but only shows her bitterness that it is not her daughters that are doing great. I saw her daughters in a local play and they are not very good and so i see why she is they way she is. what a shame she can't be happy for others who have real talent and find something else that her kids are good at doing. I think you guys are so talented.

You just always have to attack Lenore, don't you? I feel bad for the woman! No one even knows her as a human being that has feelings & have seen her, so I give major props to her for having to deal with this sh*t all the time. hey, if it wasn't for her none of us would even know who any of the clique girlz were. This is sad. Its her job to write articles . Im sure shes not jealous of anyone. When someone doesnt like somebody else your first reaction is to say Oh , They must be jealous. That is silly. She obviously said the things she said for a reason and im pretty sure LOL it wanst jealousy driven. The things I am reading on this site lately are really blowing my mind. I will say it is quite entertaining . I just hope for the girls sake they dont read this stuff. Good luck girls.
